See\u00a0the post\u00a0\u0080\u0098Far Away\u0080\u0099 film<\/a>\u00a0(below) for more information on the actual film itself, the plot and things like that. This post is about the final scene that leads into the credits that\u00a0is\u00a0heard\u00a0until the very end.<\/p>\n

The first\u00a0thing I set out to do was get the timing exactly right so that the main theme\u00a0enters at the exact point the credits appear\u00a0on screen.\u00a0The Main Theme heard\u00a0during\u00a0the credits is a further message to the audience to say that Alex’s\u00a0journey is complete, enhanced\u00a0when the film\u00a0ends on the relative major chord. The scene\u00a0before the credits appear is\u00a0another of Alex’s flashbacks as he remembers the many more\u00a0happy moments he spent with his mother. I have created music that combines the happiness of these memories but also the sadness of the loss. Simplicity in my opinion works best here. I felt more instruments and tracks would have made it\u00a0too dramatic. The solo guitar gives\u00a0the feeling of relief that the journey is finally over and Alex can now move on in his life.<\/p>\n
